Martinique is an island for everyone, adults as well as kids,even though it's crucial to take the usual precautions (avoid exterior signs of wealth by showing off jewellery, cameras or other expensive items) especially in the capital Fort de France.
It's strongly recommended not to walk there alone at night, in the poorly lit slums of the city and this applies as well to other places on the island. And in addition,it's advisable not to drive at night in Martinique in that the motorists are undisciplined and drive without observing the speed limits.
